As a Technical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing project activities from project inception to the successful fulfilment of contract requirements. This position requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, project management skills, and a keen focus on meeting client expectations, technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
1. Project Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare preliminary project plans, ensuring alignment with client requirements and technical specifications.
2. Commercial Support: Provide valuable support to the commercial department, both during the initial phases of project negotiations and post-contract finalization with the customer.
3. Project Costing: Collaborate with the commercial department to create preliminary project cost estimates based on feasibility studies. These estimates will be crucial in shaping the project’s business plan.
4. Equipment Selection: Define the needed equipment to install, selecting suppliers and issuing relevant Request for Proposal (RFP) documents.
5. Project Planning: Take charge of project plans and schedules, meticulously tracking progress to meet contractual deadlines and budget constraints. Optimize project economics whenever feasible.
6. Risk Management: Identify and evaluate potential project risks, crafting effective mitigation strategies. Swiftly address project-related challenges to prevent delays and ensure successful project outcomes.
7. Construction Phase Oversight: Oversee the development of documents, drawings, and technical specifications. Assign and monitor the detail design to an engineering organization.
8. Project Performance: Ensure strict adherence to contractual performance obligations throughout the project lifecycle, striving for excellence in project execution.
9. Quality Assurance: Perform a final review of the completed unit to verify the required performance standards. Provide for the commissioning of the unit, ensuring that it meets all requirements.
-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
